TOY FAIR 2001: [Remember - every picture links to a larger size!] LEGO is also premiering a line of cartoonish dinosaurs and other prehistoric reptiles this year. Each can be disassembled and reassembled into different types of ancient beasts. They're not the most accurate dinosaurs around, but the line looks like it will be fun for budding paleontologists. Rearrange the styracosaur's spikes to create a Triceratops or Centrosaurus, or add a new neck and head to make a Camarasaurus! (Box is a mock-up.):
A Brachiosaurus and a Young Brachiosaurus, with mock-up packaging:
The infamous Tyrannosaurus rex, scourge of the Late Cretaceous:
Mosasaurus, a predatory marine reptile, with the final packaging:
A Young Spinosaurus, or possibly a bipedal Dimetrodon:
A Young Ankylosaurus:
A Young Iguanodon:
Altered States Magazine would especially like to thank the kind folks at Hasbro, LEGO, Bandai, Toycom, and the Toy Fair workers for their help.
