    • DANIEL'S NOTES:

Meet the Mini-cons! These astoundingly well-detailed little Transformers not only have vehicle and robot modes (and, in some cases, combined weapon or larger-robot modes), but they can attach to the larger Transformers to "unlock" action features, like Red Alert's chest-mounted disc launcher or Hot Shot's fender-claws.

The Street Action Mini-Con Team (Sureshock the scooter, High Wire the bike and Grindor the skateboard) can combine to form a larger robot, Perceptor.

The Air Defense Mini-Con Team (Jetstorm, Sonar and Runway) combine to form a sword that can be held by the larger figures. Extensive use of transparent plastic may allow the sword to glow when held by a figure with light-up features.

Other teams include the Land Military Mini-Con Team (Wreckage, Knock Out and Bonecrusher), the Race Mini-Con Team (Downshift, Dirt Boss and Mirage) and the Destruction Mini-Con Team (Buzzsaw, Drillbit and Dualor).

      Mini-cons are really, really neat.
