Transformers: Armada

Sideways
"What a strange, wacky Transformer this is. I'd love to have seen a bit more articulation, but given that Sideways has two Powerlinx missile launchers, two Mini-Con pack-ins and one heck of an elaborate gimmick, it's easy to see where the cost of extra joints went. Pretty keen!"

Smokescreen
"With a great Mini-Con and some nifty features that show off why the Armada line is so fun, Smokescreen offers a mixture of the durability of the Big Adventures toys and the gimmicks and detailing of the traditional Transformers line."

Optimus Prime (Base)
"The super robot mode also makes some significant sacrifices in appearance and articulation for the sake of the toy's main gimmick -- but on the flipside, it's one heck of a gimmick...."

Destruction Mini-Con Team
"Mini-Cons just keep getting more complex and detailed, and it's impressive how articulated and transformable the Destruction Team members manage to be when their entire torsos are filled with gears...."

Race Mini-Con Team
"With decent vehicle modes and odd robot forms, the Race Mini-Con Team sacrifices some articulation and proportion for the sake of the combined Skyboom mode...."
