Integrity Toys has been producing high quality fashion dolls for collector and consumer alike for some time. From their play-line Janay fashion dolls (think Barbie with an edgier, more modern fashion sense and culturally diverse friends) to their collectible Candi line of dolls, Integrity's products have a wide appeal.
Their Fashion Royalty line of high quality, high-end collectible fashion dolls are especially attracting a great deal of attention. Since their debut at Toy Fair 2002, many of these limited-run dolls have sold out completely within days of the pre-sales launch date. Besides exquisite face paint, the dolls boast inspiring outfits that are fully lined and professionally tailored, designer foot-wear, and perfectly sized carry-alls and handbags. By paying attention to the tiniest of details, Integrity's Fashion Royalty dolls are quickly becoming the standard for 1/6 scale adult collectible fashion dolls.
Fashion Royalty's first two models were Adele Makeda (with ebony skin) and Veronique Perrin (with paler skintone). This year, they are joined by a new face... the Asian model Kyori Sato. She will be available in the Premiere Edition fashion called "Urban Geisha", and an additional outfit, called "Red-Blooded Woman"... already sold out at some retailers.
Another new development in the Fashion Royalty line is the "Voyage Collection:, featuring Adele and Veronique in retro travelling outfits, with complementary Louis Vuitton-style luggage and accessories sold separately. The "Voyage Collection" dolls will feature the new Expressive Body, which features fifteen points of articulation -- three times as much as the average fashion doll. Integrity hopes to expand the scope of the Expressive Body by mid-year, depending on how popular these elegant poseable dolls prove to be.
In addition to fashionable luggage and carry-on, the Fashion Royalty dolls will be receiving a variety of high quality designer furniture, realistic and perfectly to scale. The furniture will be available in cream color and "pony print" assortments.
As the bulk of the play-line dolls debuted at the Hong Kong Toy Fair, there were just a handful of Janay dolls and Off the Hook big-headed fashion dolls. Series represented included the "Urban Fusion" line of ethnically-inspired outfits, with new elegant face-sculpts for Janay and friends, and a continuation of the African Legends series of "dolls with a story". This year's line appears to be Egypt-inspired, with cardboard thrones for Janay, Tariq, and new friend Adora.
With all this in store, 2004 is gearing up to be a great year for Integrity Toys.
